This method handbook is a central part of the Female Coaches’ Development Program. We have documented and developed methods for how leadership training for women can be implemented, and by sharing the concept we want women’s football in particular and sports in general, to continue to develop. By making our experiences easily accessible in this method handbook, we aim for the concept to be spread and replicated, with local adjustments. The method handbook has been made easily accessible in order for as many people as possible to get access to both the concept and the content of the program. Based on what the girls’ conditions look like, both in parts of South Africa and parts of Sweden, it is far from given that girls are neither allowed, nor able, to be part of spare time activities. With this method handbook we now give them the opportunity to grow both as individuals and leaders, something that strengthens them far beyond the football pitch.
